Habits keeps your mornings on your own devices. This page says exactly what the app stores, what it measures, and what happens if you also leave us your email address.
Your habits
They stay yours. Your rituals, your check-offs and your year of pixels live as plain, readable files on your device and — if you turn iCloud on — in your own iCloud Drive. They sync through your personal Apple account, never through ours.
There is no account and no server. Habits has nothing to sign up to. We operate no database of habits, we never receive your entries, and we could not read them if we wanted to. The app works fully offline. If you delete it, you keep the files.
Anonymous usage measurements
What we measure. The app records which features are used — that a ritual was checked off, that the year grid was opened, that a grid was shared. These carry only shape, never substance: whether a ritual is daily, weekly or monthly, whether it was ticked for an earlier day, how long a streak runs. The names of your habits are never sent, and neither is anything you type.
Why. Habits is free, and these counts are how we learn which parts help and which get in the way. They shape what we build next — nothing else.
Where it goes. To PostHog, on their European infrastructure (servers in Germany), under a data-processing agreement. The measurements are tied to a random identifier created on your device, not to you: no name, no email, no advertising identifier, no location. They are never used to track you across other apps or websites, never sold, and never shared with advertisers.
This website
This website counts page views, which sections of the page you reach, and clicks on live download links through PostHog's European infrastructure. It also records whether the mailing-list form succeeds or fails, never the email address itself. It sets no cookies, creates no persistent identifier, and does not follow you between visits or across other websites.
The mailing list
Only if you type your address into the form on this site. If you leave your email address here, this is what happens to it — nothing more.
Why. To let you know when the Habits beta opens and, later, when the app launches. No third-party marketing, no profiling.
Where it lives. With MailerLite (EU processor, servers in Germany), under a GDPR data-processing agreement. You confirm your address by email (double opt-in) before anything is stored as a subscription.
Who, and your rights
Who. Lapidem SRL (Belgium), the company behind Slow Tools, is the data controller.
Your rights. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. For access, erasure, or any question at all: contact@lapidem.ai. Your habits themselves need no request — they are already in your hands.
